Author's Introduction to the Online Edition

More than six years have passed since World of the Soul has been published. Since then, as with any person, new experience, unfoldment, and realization has come and gone, leaving new attitudes and views regarding esoteric truths.

Looking at this book now, there are many things I would change. Indeed, I would re-write the entire book. I had thought of making notes where the greatest issues appeared, but that would be a major task and would hardly be less than a re-write. Those who read this book should realize that while it has many good things to say, there are also some that are not so good, and as with any book no matter how exalted, we should be wise ants and sift the sugar from the sand, determining for ourselves the truth of things.

Nevertheless, I feel that putting this book online would be useful. It is still, in my humble opinion, the shortest, least biased, and least difficult introduction to esoteric philosophy available. Reading this short book should allow just about any individual to grasp and understand what esoteric teachings are all about, and be able, therefore, to dive into just about any esoteric book without getting too lost or confused by the terminology and concepts.

What appears online is exactly what appears in print, and is the entire book.

Many people have expressed their gratitude for making this complex subject simple. I am glad to have helped in this way.

May we always remember that our greatest and most urgent task is to follow Truth, no matter where it leads us and no matter how difficult that path may be.
